Disukai · Amazing staff who could not be more helpful and made our stay wonderful. Very romantic setting with easy access to Borobudur, beautiful villas and gorgeous spa facilities. Plus the food was incredible- a true culinary experience. The romantic dinner is a must!!
I can’t say enough how amazing all the staff were- they ensured we had a relaxing and wonderful stay from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The little touches as well, like back and shoulder massage on arrival, and having nice moisturising mosquito repellant available in the room show they understand their customers and want to go the extra mile.
I’ve stayed in some gorgeous hotels but this wins hands down.

We had an awesome and wonderful stay at the Plataran Borobudur.
First, of course, the location is just amazing: the hotel is nested in the hills facing Borobudur, in the middle of a tropical forest. There is something weirdly soothing looking at this temple. The architecture of the hotel helps immerse yourself in this natural beauty.
Second, the staff is very attentive, helpful and service oriented. For example we booked the sunrise Borobudur tour with the hotel, came back by almost 10am and they were waiting for us for breakfast (all other guests had it already). They kept the whole staff and buffet opened for us. Same happened again for the afternoon tea (normally 4-5pm) as we came back at 5:30 from the pottery tour. Again they kept everything running for us. They really make you feel pampered. The staff was playing with the kids and all. There happened to be a traditional Indonesian wedding taking place at the resort and we were even invited to have a sneak peek at the final reception and enjoy Borobudur being illuminated at night and the wedding ending firework. They accommodated the fact the restaurant was not available that evening with a bbq organized at the nearby gazebo, with Javanese dancers.
We had the duplex villa which consists of a 2 floors villa with outside stairs. The upper apartment has a terrace with a dining space, a king bed and a large indoor bathroom. The lower apartment is bigger and faces the private pool. The bathroom is outdoor (still very private) which is pretty cool. The villa was well equipped and we specially appreciated the water fountain - more hotels should do that. They also provide mosquito repellent...
The Spa is really nice with treatment rooms facing Borobudur. The restaurant faces Borobudur too and the food is quite tasty and well presented. Nice to see some real efforts put into the desert menu too.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views overlooking the valley with Borobudur temple in the distance. Service is amazing, restaurant in site is very good. Rooms are spacious and the private pools are perfect. Definately the place to stay in Borodudur.
