Rumah Kaca Plataran
Rumah Kaca Plataran was designed by the late Hendra Hadiprana, also known as Oom Henk; the legendary Indonesian architect sadly passed away in December 2019 at the age of 89, but not before completion of this exquisite resort house – a fitting monument to his creative legacy. The main building covers an area of 954m2, in which an elegant array of ivory-white pillars, columns, staircases, verandas and balconies combine to fashion a regal ambiance, imbued with class and sophistication. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the property in natural light, while spacious rooms and meeting spaces offer room to breathe and enjoy the view.
The property has been designed to accentuate its surroundings, while also fitting seamlessly into the landscape. Situated amid the verdant expanse of Rancamaya golf course and country estate, the grounds of Rumah Kaca spread out over 2,500m2and include a range of gardens, groves and secluded seating areas. The building itself provides multiple seating areas that are perfect for sitting back and breathing in the beauty of nature. Combining elegant architecture with idyllic grounds, the property is a masterful blend of natural splendour and innovative design.
