Plataran Announces Ecotourism Festivals, in Celebration of Indonesia’s Treasures

Jakarta, 19 June 2023 - In conjunction with the commemoration of Pancasila Day, Plataran, a leading hospitality and lifestyle company, hosted a delightful luncheon that brought together prominent female figures from across the country. A total of 8 amazing ladies includes; Christine Hakim – legendary actress, film producer, and activist, Samira Shihab – entrepreneur, and co-Founder of Tinkerlust and Stellar Woman, Nadine Chandrawinata – actress and Founder of Seasoldier, Dwi Sasetyaningtiyas – CEO of Sustaination, Adinia Wirasti – actress and model, Renita Sari – producer and organizer of Galeri Indonesia Kaya, Ria Sarwono – Brand and Marketing Director of Cottonink, and Rania Maheswari Yamin – Indonesian culture advocate. The event aimed to celebrate and recognize the power, strength, and diversity of women, emphasizing the significance of embracing their unique experiences, perspectives, and contributions to society.

The luncheon revolved around the theme of "Womenity," a term that encompasses the collective essence of women. It represents the acknowledgment of the remarkable achievements, struggles, and invaluable roles that women play in various spheres of life. Plataran believes that embracing diversity among women is essential in building a more equitable and just society, where every woman's strengths and abilities are celebrated, regardless of their background or identity.

Hosted on two separate dates, June 9 at Plataran Kinandari and June 19 at Hutan Kota by Plataran, during the event, there was an insightful discussion on how Pancasila's values relate to women's empowerment. Pancasila, the foundation of the Indonesian nation, comprises five principles that guide the country's ideology. These principles— Ketuhanan yang Maha Esa, Kemanusiaan yang Adil dan Beradab, Persatuan Indonesia, Kerakyatan Yang Dipimpin Oleh Hikmat Kebijaksanaan Dalam Permusyawaratan/Perwakilan, and Keadilan Sosial bagi Seluruh Rakyat Indonesia —hold great relevance to the advancement of women's rights movements in Indonesia.

The attendees engaged in meaningful conversations about how these Pancasila values have influenced and continue to drive progress in promoting gender equality. Speakers shared personal experiences and highlighted the challenges they have overcome to achieve success, inspiring others with their stories of resilience and determination. Plataran organized a giveaway opportunity prior to the event, allowing lucky winners to be a part of this meaningful luncheon. The fellow winners were fortunate to have the chance to join this inspiring gathering and engage in uplifting conversations.

The luncheon which was also supported by local sustainable clothing brand, Masshiro & Co, also provided valuable insights on how to create positive change within one's community and society as a whole. By leveraging the power of Pancasila's principles, the attendees explored strategies to further empower women, foster inclusivity, and ensure equal opportunities for all.

Plataran remains committed to championing women's empowerment and advocating for gender equality. Through events like this luncheon, the company aims to create platforms for dialogue, collaboration, and collective action, fostering an environment where every woman's voice is heard and respected.
