Plataran Announces Ecotourism Festivals, in Celebration of Indonesia’s Treasures

Aligned with Plataran’s philosophy to “showcase the world the rich and diverse natural and cultural heritage of this remarkable archipelago“, Plataran L’Harmonie – West Bali National Park is excited to announce the first edition of the annual Traditional Boat Carnival on 5, Oct 2017.

Since the commencement of Plataran L’Harmonie – West Bali National, Plataran Indonesia aimed to boast the area as a leading model of eco-tourism development park in Bali where it displays the traditional philosophy of “Tri Hita Karana“, a concept that evolves around three main factors: harmony among people, nature, and God. The Boat Carnival 2017 is one of many activities hosted in Plataran L’Harmonie – West Bali National Park that takes the initiative to attain its mark.

Relationship with the people is obtained as the event brings family, friends, and business partners together to celebrate the day packed with activities that highlight the beauty of Indonesian and Balinese culture. Appreciation and contact with nature is achieved through the beach clean-up activity organized for the participants. Lastly, the relationship with God is reached through a full moon Tirta Yatra celebration, a traditional Balinese spiritual pilgrimage, at the Pulaki and Segara Giri Menjangan Temple.

The highlight of the day will be for visitors to witness scores of vibrantly-painted boats from different regions of Indonesia around the pristine waters of Menjangan. Furthermore, the Octagon Ocean Club at Plataran L’Harmonie -West Bali National Park will present a special Fisherman Village Themed Buffet Lunch where visitors can gather to enjoy the boat carnival while indulging in authentic Indonesian dishes with a hint of an ocean twist. Additionally, visitors can also enjoy a music and dance performance by the Benih Kasih Orphans, and watch the sky get adorned through the kite festival activity.
