In response to the increasing number of people exposed to COVID-19 since early 2020, Plataran Indonesia has created the Plataran Safety Protocol which is implemented in every unit, including hotels, resorts, cruises, venues and restaurants, this is reflected in the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment) certification obtained by Plataran Indonesia with top score. The implementation of the Plataran Safety Protocol is carried out optimally by investing in facilities such as Face Thermal Scanner, Ozone Sanitizer, Touchless Sanitizer, Air Purifier with Blue Air Hepa Silent System, and Touchless Wash Basin.

The use of these facilities is also carried out with monitoring from the Plataran Safety Protocol Crew, which has a special duty to oversee the implementation of health protocols throughout Plataran area. In addition, in some areas, integrated indoor and outdoor utilization have been carried out in order to continue to enjoy good air circulation.

To strengthen the existing Plataran Safety Protocol, Plataran has added a COVID-19 detection tool, GeNose. This tool can be used free of charge for guests who come to dine or stay at Plataran Senayan, Plataran Borobudur, and Plataran Bromo. Built and tested by scientists from Universitas Gadjah Mada, GeNose received its official distribution license from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, on December 2020. The team claimed to increase the Covid-19 test with a more affordable price. According to the research team leader, Prof. Eng Kuwat Triyana, GeNose can detect the infection based on the exhaled Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) less than 2 minutes, with sensitivity rate above 90% (higher than the current PCR and Antigen of 89%).

Visitors can take GeNose tests by exhaling their breath to fill a special breathing bag. The breathing bag then can be analysed by an AI-powered sensory system. To achieve the most accuracy, GeNose requires fasting for a minimum 30 minutes to one hour before breath sampling.

As the leading hospitality group from Indonesia, all employees of Plataran Indonesia have also been fully vaccinated and conduct Antigen Swab Tests on a regular basis and are always disciplined in their duties.
