Plataran Indonesia has been named the overall winner in two separate categories at the 2019 Indonesia Travel Tourism Awards (ITTA 2019). The group was named Indonesia’s best Luxury Hotel Chain, while Plataran Menjangan Resort & Spa also came away with the prestigious title of Indonesian Resort of the Year.

Online voting for the 2019 awards began in June and was concluded by the end of October, during which time a total of 49,645 votes were generated in 15 countries worldwide. The winners were then selected following a period of adjudication by The Board of Advisors and BINUS Business School, acting as ITTA Foundation Knowledge & Research Partner. Winners were thereby chosen by a combination of public votes, BINUS Business School expertise and a qualified Board of Advisors. Plataran was selected for the following awards:

1. Indonesia Resort of the Year:   Plataran Menjangan Resort & Spa
2. Indonesia Luxury Hotel Chain:   PT Plataran Indonesia

The ITTA Foundation is a non-governmental organization which was established in 2010, to promote better growth and development in Indonesia’s tourism sector. Now celebrating their tenth year, the annual awards recognize excellence and feature an illustrious list of travel brands across the industry. This year’s awards, as a special 10th-Anniversary edition, are entitled “A Decade of Rewarding Tourism of Indonesia.“

Plataran Indonesia will officially collect the trophies at an award ceremony at The Upperroom Jakarta at Annex Building on Tuesday, 17th December 2019. More than 500 leading figures from Indonesia’s tourism sector are expected to attend the evening’s festivities, which are set to feature entertainment, business networking, a stylish black tie dinner and the presentation of the Indonesia Travel Tourism Awards 2019/20. Selected invitees will also attend the Indonesia Tourism Summit (ITS 2019) conference in the morning at the same venue.

In addition to the latest awards from ITTA 2019, Plataran Indonesia also holds a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, was named in the Top 100 Global Sustainable Destinations 2017, was a Winner at the World Luxury Spa Awards in 2018 and is frequently listed in the top 100 companies in Indonesia. Plataran L’Harmonie Menjangan was named the winner at the 14th Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS) this year in the Planning and Design of Scenic Areas of Tourism Destination category, for its achievements in building a resort community in harmony with the local hydrology and topography. With this achievement, Plataran became the first hospitality company, the first national park and the first eco-development project in Indonesia ever to receive this prestigious award.
