Plataran Indonesia Received 4 Tri Hita Karana 2018 Bali Awards

Group of Plataran Bali is pleased and honoured to have received four prestigious awards in recognition of our significant achievements in implementing Tri Hita Karana values into Plataran Hotels & Resorts in Bali.

All the awards goes to our four different properties with details below:

Gold Award – Plataran Canggu Resort & Spa
Gold Award – Plataran Menjangan Resort & Spa
Silver Award – Plataran L’Harmonie
Silver Award – Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa

The Tri Hita Karana Tourism are organised annually by Tri Hita Karana Organization. The winners of the awards were determined by their implementation in incorporating sustainable practices of spiritual, social and environmental principles.

Plataran’s executive representatives received the awards on behalf of Group of Plataran Bali at the Tri Hita Karana Tourism Award 2018 ceremony in Ksirarnawa Art Centre Building, Denpasar.

Tri Hita Karana, which means ‘Three Ways to Happiness’ is an ancient philosophy for life on the island of Bali, Indonesia, and has been teaching generation after generation of Balinese how to maintain spiritual harmony between God, Nature and Human. This traditional belief emphasizes the harmonies of people with spiritual, people with nature, and people with people in the pursuit of Happiness. The principle of Tri Hita Karana guides many aspects of Balinese life.

The three causes referred to in the principle are:

Harmony with God
Harmony with nature or environment
Harmony with people

It is derived from the Balinese spiritualism and beliefs, which promotes harmony towards God, manifested in numerous rituals and offerings to appease deities; harmony with their environment, which strife to conserve the nature and promote the sustainability and balance of the environment; and harmony among fellow human beings through communal cooperation and promoting compassion. Tri Hita Karana is credited for the island's prosperity as a whole, its relatively stable record of development, environmental practices, and the overall quality of life for its residents.
